Here at Ableworld Reading mobility and stairlift store, we are now located across the way from the Brunel retail park opposite Pets at Home and B&M , making the store very well situated for you to visit us
In store we have a friendly team who are on hand to help with all mobility queries. Come and visit us in store to shop our wide range of mobility products, including Mobility Scooters, Riser Recliner chairs, Toileting Aids and much more.
We also provide many services, including Wheelchair and Scooter Hire, Stairlift Installations and Mobility product repairs. Our team are fully trained and experienced in dealing with all types of mobility aids, so please get in touch with us to arrange a service today.

At Ableworld Reading our team can provide great advice on Stairlifts, Mobility Scooters and Wheelchairs, along with our smaller mobility aids. We provide mobility advice and product suggestions to our customers. We are fully DBS checked for added peace of mind, particularly during home demonstrations.
Our mobility shop has vastly improved the layout to increase disabled access and we’ve brought in a wider range of aids to suit all needs. We aim to find a product to suit all individual customers needs, whether this being an item that we have in store, or one that may need ordering for differing sizes or colours. We are committed to helping our customers and believe this is the reason why we are the largest mobility retailer in the country.
Mobility Scooter & Wheelchair Hire
From store we provide Scooter and Wheelchair Hire to those in the Reading, Wokingham, Newbury, Maidenhead, Slough, Aldershot, Alton, Windsor, Tadley, High Wycombe, Farnham, Fleet, Farnborough, Chertsey, Didcot, Camberley, Bracknell, Sandhurst and surrounding areas, with daily or weekly rentals available. Our hire is subject to availability in store so please do check before visiting us. Mobility scooters can be hired for any period of time and can be an ideal way to make a decision about a mobility scooter before committing to a purchase. This can also be an ideal solution when a mobility scooter is only required for a short amount of time, such as after an operation, or whilst visiting on holiday.
Home Demonstrations
If you or a loved one are struggling to visit us in store then we can provide free home demonstrations to your home. We can bring and demonstrate our larger products, such as Riser recliner chairs, Wheelchairs and mobility scooters to customer’s homes who are local to our store. One of our team can come at a convenient time to you, and once the demonstration is done we will leave you with a written quotation for you to consider. In-House Engineers
Our team are fully trained and equipped to install a variety of Stairlifts into a home, including new or reconditioned stairlifts on straight or curved staircases. Our team can provide you with a free no obligation quotation here.
